RATIONALE

The was a fleet branding project developed for GoCo Connect & Collaborate, with MYC Media. The client is a technology company that unifies communication and manages connectivity and network solutions across Canada. GoCo is part of the TELUS group of companies.

The fleet of their vehicles was all very different; some were minivans, some were compact delivery vans, some were SUVs, and some were hatchback sedans. This imposed the challenge of how we would go about creating a design that would seamlessly and accurately represent the brand across all vehicles. The second challenge was designing within the client's installation budget; as they wanted something colourful and impactful to represent their company, but only working with decals, and not a full wrap.

At MYC Media, we also specialize in manufacturing and installation of the wrap designs that we create, which means that we would know how to set the print files, how to produce it and how to install them. Which gave us a unique perspective on pricing, time, installation and manufacturing.

The client wanted the vehicles to be modern and simple but at the same time "fun, and friendly." To create this design, we used their brand guidelines colours specs to split the graphic according to the specific percentage expressed in their brand guidelines, having both purple and turquoise as the two more predominant colours. However, before we reached this design, we went through several concepts as they weren't entirely sure as to what look they wanted on it and how much coverage they were going to do (full wrap, partial wrap, or decals).

The outcome of this project was very well received by the client. The design flows from vehicle to vehicle, allowing for successful fleet branding implementation; the vehicles carry the identity of the company and reflect their fun and friendly approach but at the same time look modern and professional.
